More and more people are finding Asheville, NC as the perfect location to purchase a second-home, find investment property, and most importantly, settle down in their dream retirement location.

For those of your from the Tri-State area, and especially NY, NY itself, the mountains of Western North Carolina offer many of the best features of upstate New York and the Pocono mountain region, with the added charm and character of Southern hospitality and more temeperate weather. Add the wonderful mountain views and lifestyle and you can understand why our area has become a destination unlike any other.

Distance from JFK Airport to Asheville Airport: 724 miles

Continental Airlines offered a direct flight from Newark International Airport, just a few minutes from downtown NY, to the Asheville International Airport.

If you prefer a beautiful drive down the east coast, the fastest route is to connect to I-81S and continue southward until you cross into Tennessee. From there, simply pick up I-26, a fairly recent addition to the interstate system that will take you through and over the Appalachian mountains to the city of Asheville. Depending on traffic conditions, this drive can take between 11 and 13 hours (~700 miles).
